Hello, due to circumstances beyond my control we at East Carolina Univ- ersity have to provide an EP connection to our RSCS V2.3 system. However when we start the link and the user dials in RSCS always gets an I/O error and drains the line before the /*SIGNON card is received. The message I receive is DMTNPT070E I/O error on link FWCRJE 044 SIOCC 0 CSW 000CC620 0C000001 SENSE 00 CCW 020CC620 20000002 The configuration is: VM/HPO 5.0 RSCS 2.3.0 EP Release 4 3725 Model 1 Black Box 208 A/B modem RSCS CONFIG contains: LINK FWCRJE MRJE 044 * * 4 FIFO 4 * * AST PARM FWCRJE SYSTEM=HOST ITO=2 OPT=NO PASS=???????? Line 044 is ATTACHed via an ATTACH statement in PROFILE GCS. The PEP gen for the 3725 contains: DIAL21 GROUP DIAL=YES, CHNPRI=HIGH, CLOCKNG=EXT, CODE=EBCDIC, CU=2701, DUPLEX=HALF, LNCTL=BSC, SPEED=4800, PAD=NO, TYPE=EP P21LN33 LINE ADDRESS=(33,44-0), TERM=2780 All I can say is HELP!!! I can't really find anything wrong, and the local IBM office doesn't have anybody who can spell EP DIAL support let alone EP.
