Take a look at the IBM Token Ring Technical Reference. It describes IBM source routing in detail. Also, there is some description of source routing ("multi-ring routing") in RFC 1042 (IP over 802 networks). Joe Herman U. of Maryland -- "Everything is wonderful until you know something about it."
