[comp.protocols.ibm] bsc3270 tcp-ip bridge

wbrand@krishna.shearson.com (Willy Brandsdorfer) (06/26/91)

Does anyone know of a piece of hardware which emulates a bisync connected 3274
and provides tcp/ip (telnet) connections to unix workstations. Bridge had at
one point manufactured such a product, but it was discontinued. We need to
maintain an open session with a bisync host even though our users need to log
off of their unix workstation. Using sunlink's bsc3270/te3278 product will
close the session with the host. We can probably do some sort of funky software
solution but we prefer a hardware one.

Thanks in advance,
