I am also gearing up my quest to get MIDI specs. Any info you receive would be greatly appreciated. Looking at an Apple magazine in a bookstore last night yielded the info that MIDI is a 3 wire serial 31.25Kbaud interface using a 5 wire DIN shielded cable. Rumor has it that KEYBOARD magazine last issue has several detailed articals on MIDI, but I have not been able to get hold of a copy as of yet. It MAY be possible to torture a standard RS-232C port from a micro to handle MIDI, and this is the approach I will try first. If you hear anything more, any forwarded info will be greatly appreciated. Thanx. Cheers, Gern (Rome Air Development Center, The Largest USAF LAB) ------- -------
