I am interested in the block-shuffled hypercube as proposed by
W.T. Hsu, P.C. Yew and C.Q. Zhu at Illinois/Urbana-Champaign.
("An Enhancement Scheme for Hypercube Interconnection Networks",
from last August's parallel processing conference.)
This scheme allows a variable degree of connectedness, by using
crossbars of sizes other than log(N).
I would be interested in hearing about performance evaluations,
proposed algorithms which take advantage of this interconnect,
or specific comments on the usability/serviceability of such a
system.
