The Cnews distribution is now available for anonymous uucp access from ncc. It's located in ncc!~ftp/news/cnews.shar.Z . To access ncc, try one of the following: ncc Any ACU 2400 1-403-425-6260 ogin:--ogin: nuucp The modems are Trailblazers set up to spit PEP at the end of the answer sequence. If you call in PEP mode, MAKE SURE you have turned on g-protocol support before connecting, otherwise you won't get much of anything. A typical entry for a PEP site would be: ncc Any ACU 19200 1-403-425-6260;s50=255;s111=30;d ogin:--ogin: nuucp -- Lyndon Nerenberg / Computing Services / Athabasca University {alberta, decwrl, ncc}!atha!lyndon || lyndon@cs.AthabascaU.CA Trying to manage programmers is like trying to herd cats!

[ This only applies to those of you who grabbed cnews from ncc ] The patches are starting to come out for Cnews. I'll be damned if I'm going to uucp a new version of the entire distribution from uunet each day, so save these patches as they come by and apply them by hand, or wait for the comp.sources.unix distribution. The cnews distribution on ncc will not be updated until the c.s.u version comes around (unless someone finds a major bug prior to that). -- Lyndon Nerenberg / Computing Services / Athabasca University {alberta, decwrl, ncc}!atha!lyndon || lyndon@cs.AthabascaU.CA
