[comp.binaries.ibm.pc] Mea culpa!

allbery@ncoast.UUCP (Brandon S. Allbery) (11/07/87)

Due to what appears to be a mailer bug, an attempt to send a submission
to comp.binaries.ibm.pc resulted in a garbage message (the "Don't know"
message is an error message from one of elm's subsidiary programs). I
apologize for this, and from now on I'll have to do it the hard way.

Update for those of you who don't read news.groups: This newsgroup,
comp.binaries.ibm.pc, has been made unmoderated due to the fact that
nobody showed any interest in discussing or moderating the newsgroup
when I sent out my original message. If you want to keep this group
"binaries-only", I suggest someone out there show some interest; it's
not _my_ problem anymore, I gave you a month (plus extra time for
propagation).

We'll let you off easy this time, Brandon, but next time you'll be flogged
with a wet floppy disk mailer.

My, aren't we testy! Incidentally, didn't I just read an article in which
Rahul Dhesa (sorry if mispelled, Rahul) at Ball State University offered
to moderate comp.binaries.ibm.pc? Perhaps until someone DOES take over
your old job, something can be done so that the net is not flooded with
 garbage.
