[comp.binaries.ibm.pc] Mean18 - Pirated!!??

cyamamot@nunki.usc.edu (Cliff Yamamoto) (03/02/88)

I'm not sure who the first originator of this posting is, but I'd
like to point out that Mean18 is a *COMMERCIAL NON PUBLIC-DOMAIN* program.
Unless someone can verify otherwise, a software company by the name of
Accolade is the source of the game which also came packaged with the same
courses mentioned (Baytree, etc.). I can't verify that *THIS* posting *IS*
the one and same but I can definately say that Accolade does sell a program
under the same name with same courses packaged with it (nah, must be a
coincidence right?) This is the first I've ever seen of any pirated
software on here and it would be great is everyone could try the game
(it *IS* an excellent game), but I can't help but feel slightly miffed for
my friend who purchased the game legit :-# (also many 'course disks' are
available as well).

The posting was a stupid unthoughtful accident.
