Just to clarify the intended purpose of "net.works.apollo". It is NOT intended as a spinoff of "net.works" or the ARPA Internet "WorkS" distribution. The reason "net.works.apollo" seemed like the right name was because the Apollo is a workstation. The point of "net.works.apollo" is to be the Usenet posting place for the ARPA Internet "Apollo" distribution (for which I am the maintainer). Please "vote" for it on that merit, not whether you think there's been enough Apollo-related traffic on "WorkS" or "net.works".

This proposal came up once before, and the answer was no. I say no again.

If there's already an ARPANET APOLLO mailing list to be gatewayed, let's just create net.works.apollo, gateway it, and be done with it. -- John Quarterman, CS Dept., University of Texas, Austin, Texas {ihnp4,seismo,ctvax}!ut-sally!jsq, jsq@ut-sally.{ARPA,UUCP}
