[comp.binaries.ibm.pc] binaries shars

randy@umn-cs.cs.umn.edu (Randy Orrison) (04/19/88)

I love them! They make the job of unpacking things on unix*
so much easier! However (of course) there's one little thing i'd like to see
changed (no really, it's little): add an exit command at the end of the shar
so it doesn't try to execute your .sig (--: command not found ...)

To Whoever came up with these: Thank you!

Ok, so there's another thing: someone have and want to post an MS-DOS shar
unpacker? I do sometimes just want to run things under MS-DOS and being able
to say 'unshar foo.*' on both unix* and MS-DOS would be about the best it
could get.

Again, Thanks!!!

*unix is supposed to be capitalized with a note about "trademark of some goons"
but really... See Figure 1, AT&T!
