I recently read an article about an old friend of mine from my Caltech days who, in addition to running a highly successful stereo speaker manufacturing (and audio-visual retailing) business in Pasadena, decided to branch out into PC software. Apparently he had a major league hit with his first product, HAL, a user-friendlier interface to Lotus 1-2-3 (In fact, the company that he set up to handle the software sideline, GNP Development Corp., was just bought by Lotus Development Corp. for a 7 figure sum.). Does anyone have experience with this product? Could you provide a capsule overview/review? Thanks.
