Can anyone recommend a definitive source of information concerning IBM PC and AT backplane signals? I need specific data concerning signal timing and use. I've been trying to work with IBM Technical Reference Manuals, using the schematics provided within to reverse-engineer the backplane signal timing, but some of the signals are generated through PAL logic, and the PAL equations were not included. My only alternative at this point is to rip open a PC or AT box (or both, since the clock rates are different) and plug in an extender card for connection to a Logic State Analyzer, a task I'm not much looking forward to. Say, has anyone else tried doing that? Can you send me a copy of your timing diagrams? Is there yet hope?
