Checksum: XXXXXXXXXX (Verify with "brik -cv") Submitted-by: lfk@ATHENA.MIT.EDU (Frank Kolakowski) RKIV The author of the port of RCS to MS-DOS has been contacted by officials of MKS about the posting of that software to comp.binaries.ibm.pc. It is their position (as I understand it) that we have infringed on their trademark. The author has agreed to publish the following retraction, apology, and disclamer. Begin quote: We are changing the name of the Zoo archive containing an MS-DOS port of the Revision Control System written by Walter Tichey (Purdue University) from MKSRCSex to sh_RCSex.zoo. The original name mistakenly infringes with upon the rights of Mortice Kern Systems Inc. The original name *just* reflected the fact that some portions of this code depended upon certain aspects of the MKS Toolkit (a Mortice Kern Product). Please change the name of this file in any archives or bulletin boards which collect binary postings from comp.binaries.ibm.pc THE PROGRAM POSTED TO THIS BULLETIN BOARD WHICH WAS CALLED MKSRCS IS NOT ONE AND THE SAME PRODUCT AS THE MORTICE KERN SYSTEMS INC. REVISION CONTROL SYSTEM, NOR IS IT RELATED TO THAT PRODUCT IN ANY WAY. End quote.
