I've been seeing a lot of programs being posted as 'uuencoded' on the net. How do you use these sources? How do you de-'uuencode' them. I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks

There is a new version of UUDECODE and a pretty good description of how it works in net.micro.atari16 (INFO-ATARI16 for arpa?). There are some "bindings" and other Atari Specific overhead that may need be stripped off, but they seem to work ok. Also, see the uudecode(1) section of the unix manual. These programs are uuencoded so that mail/news won't munge them. Once they are on your local system (the one you read news on) you can use the unix uudecode and download them via kermit or XMODEM.
