[net.micro] PC-XT HD benchmarks wanted

onn@utcs.uucp (Brian Onn) (03/19/86)

[Go ahead! Make my day! Eat this, you wretched line eater!]

I am currently evaluating several internal and external hard drives for
an XT and XT compatibles, ranging in size from 10M to 50M. I would like
to know if anyone has knowledge of any PD disk benchmark programs, or
have written any that they would like to share.

I have access to several local BBS's so even pointers to programs would
be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Brian.

DISKP, from Core International, does a drive speed check on a hard
disk (including random seek times, which are typically the ones
quoted by vendors. Available on the Wipcus BBS (313-663-1835).
