Netpeople, We are considering some Structured Analysis software for our PC. Cadre Technologies' "Teamwork/PCSA" demo looks really cool -- much nicer than the Yourdon product, but I wonder if any of you folks have used this or other related products. I imagine that reviews of this kind of thing have been on the nets before but I am relatively new. I'll summarize and post my email responses, if relevant. I've used PCSA for a couple of months now. In fact, I just finished a small project using PCSA as the design/documentation tool, and it worked out quite well. However, I would not consider using this tool for a large project, since I think it would be quickly overloaded. The big problem with this package is that there is no way to represent Real-time. (At least, for the types of things I am doing--machine control). It is a very small sub-set of the full Teamwork tool. It could be useful as a low-level entry tool in a large project to free up the more expensive workstation, but I can't confirm that, since I don't have a connection from my PC to our Teamwork-equipped Suns. (yet) I have sent several suggestions to Cadre regarding this tool, but have not had any response yet. I could give you details at a later date, if you wish. I hope this is helpful. Feel free to contact me via email for further discussion.
