Digest subscribers, I've finally decided that I have to get out of the business of doing the Soft-Eng digest; indeed, practically speaking, I already have: I haven't been able to produce a digest for the last several weeks, and I have a growing backlog of messages. If anyone is interested in taking over the task of putting together a digest, please let me know. Otherwise, the mailing list will become a "filtered reflector". That is, incoming messages will be sent out to the list without being collected into a digest; however, misdirected messages (e.g. messages intended for soft-eng-request) and conspicuous flames won't be sent all over the network. These changes will take effect at some point this week (i.e. before April 24).
