I've seen a number of articles about what books software engineers need - books for parctioners, so to speak. But what about managers? Books that answer management questions on estimation, methodology, measurement like DeMarco's *Controlling Software Projects* and DeMarco/Lister's *Peopleware*, and Brooks's *The Mythical Man-Month*. I think that practioners have a better idea of what books should be on their shelves because they were exposed to the same books in a program on computer science. But managers rarely have a background in software project management, and therefore most are not aware of the reference materials. I've seen *Peopleware* and *Controlling Software Projects* on shelves, but mostly on the shelves of QA people, not the actual managers. Any management types out there who can tell us what manangement books are on their shelves?
