I think management here is finally convinced that software engineering will improve the quality and productivity of programmers and analysts. No more back of the envelope designs that are never documented. Part of the sell job has been CASE. The argument has always been yes we need better engineering of software but it is too much overhead. Anyway, they are convinced, but the bottom line is money. I worked up some numbers for them, assuming a 30% increase in life-cycle productivity. They liked the numbers they saw, but want to see some real numbers backing up the 30%. Does anyone have some numbers or references to numbers? Thanks in advance. Mike(@pmafire.UUCP) -- Mike Caldwell (mike@pmafire.UUCP) Paths: ...uunet!pmafire!mike | ...!ucdavis!egg-id!pmafire!mike
