[comp.software-eng] Re^3: Programmer productivity references

schultz@cell.mot.COM (Rob Schultz) (12/01/89)

Sorry, I forgot to include references in my last posting:

Halstead, M H, _Elements_of_Software_Science_, Elsevier North-Holland,
	NY, 1977.

Fitzsimmons, A, and T Love, "A Review and Evaluation of Software Science,"
	_Computing_Surveys_, Vol 10, No 1, March 1978.

Stroud, J M, "The fine structure of psychological time," _Annals_of_New_
	York_Academy_of_Sciences_, 1966.

There is a lot more work out there regarding this subject, but these are
the most important works with regards to my previous posting.

Earlier I made mention of a paper that was presented by S. Colborne and Dr. H
Callisen on S.A.F.E. - Syntactical Analysis For Estimation and I offered to
provide the location of the paper to anyone sending me Email. I was deluged
with Email on this (as well as having a request to post to this newsgroup)
therefore, here is the information:

The paper was presented in:

The International Society of Parametic Analysists
Journal of Parametrics
Vol IV Num IV
Dec. 1984
(starts on page 33)

Copies can be obtained from:

Associations International Inc.
6803 Whitten Ave
McLean, VA. 22101

There may be associated charges with this, but I don't know what they are.

Disclaimer: I do not represent any of the organizations above. I will have no
"gain" in the purchase of any of the above. ("I know nothing" - Schultz)

Thank you all for the interest that you have shown in SAFE and EODB. It was the
one project I have been involved in that was "fun" from its inception to the
point where funding was cut off. (In a telecon with Mr. Colborne, he also said
that he appreciates the interest in developing further applications from his
model.)
