I am working on my final project for my M.S. in Software Engineering from
Rochester Institute of Technology, and I am trying to prepare a paper on
a blue sky, never before invented tool to handle Configuration
Management.
What I would ask of you Net-Landers, is this:
If you were to buy the PERFECT tool to handle configuration management,
what features would you demand that it have?
This tool would handle multiple projects, source code management amongst
the project, report generation of checked out code modules, current levels
of source code per project etc.
What do you currently demand of your configuration management systems?
What are those current systems lacking?
