[comp.software-eng] Object Oriented Analysis Management

We are currently reengineering a 2 million line COBOL application
using object-oriented analysis. The effort involves over 50
people. Does anyone have any thoughts or experiences on the
management and administration issues associated with such an
effort ? We currently are using 4 person teams, with a five
person object administration team that serves as a focal point
for commonly used objects.

We are finding that the management issues in many ways are as
daunting as the technical issues of object-oriented analysis.
Training, quality assurance, and project tracking are in many
ways different than those I have encountered in conventional
analysis efforts.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
