CALL FOR REVIEW ARTICLES
Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering Tools
The International Journal of Software Engineering and Knowledge
Engineering (IJSEKE) invites you to submit articles that review or
survey software engineering and knowledge engineering tools. The
articles should be no more than three manuscript pages.
The central theme of the journal is the interplay between software
engineering and knowledge engineering: how knowledge engineering methods
and tools can be applied to software engineering, and vice versa. It
publishes papers on all issues in the two broad areas and their
cross-interactions.
IJSEKE will feature a "Tools Review" section dedicated exclusively to
publish experiences with the use of knowledge engineering and software
engineering tools. The survey articles would analyze one tool (or a
class of tools) on criteria such
- Ability in helping a programmer in the intended application,
- Quality of user interface(s) and user manual(s),
- Ability to integrate with other tools,
- Consistency in use of terms, notations, and conventions; and
- Comparison with other tools with similar objectives.
The review articles are not intended to be promotional material written
by developers or sellers of the tools. We will encourage articles from
actual users, preferably not affiliated with the developers or sellers.
The articles for the first issue of IJSEKE are due on October 20, 1990.
Four copies of the article may be mailed to:
