TEKTRONIX PROFESSORSHIP IN SOFTWARE ENGINEERING
at Portland State University
Portland State invites applications or nominations for a tenure-track
position beginning Fall, 1991 in the Computer Science Department.
Applicants will be considered at junior and senior levels, but must
have a PhD and research promise in software engineering. A $360,000
grant from the Tektronix Foundation established this position, and
includes substantial ancillary support for it. Duties will include
development of sponsored research, interaction with local industry,
undergraduate and graduate teaching.
Portland State is located in downtown Portland, Oregon, one of the most
livable cites in the world. There is a rapidly growing computer and
electronics industry in the metro area. The present
software-engineering faculty are Sergio Antoy, Dick Hamlet,
Warren Harrison, and Ralph London.
