We are looking at the tailoring of DOD-STD-2167A for software development projects in Australia, and would be very interested in the result of similar studies carried out elsewhere. Experiences, good or bad, would also be of interest. Any contributions or references will be valued, no matter how small, informal or biased. Experiences in the application of MIL-HDBK-287 and the Logicon TAILOR tool would also be useful. Our aim is to make recommendations for the tailoring of (or departure from) 2167A for a spectrum of project types ranging from large software projects to small internal projects.
