[comp.software-eng] "Rapid Prototyping in the Real World"

gordons@handel.cs.colostate.edu (vahl scott gordon) (01/17/91)

I am writing a paper about what lessons have been learned from the
"real world" (i.e. contract or other professional software development)
about the pros/cons/risks/etc of Rapid Prototyping. I need a few more
sources (i.e. case studies, published accounts of "real-world" examples, etc)
... up to now I've only found 10. Most of the published material seems to be
theoretical.

If you are aware of any such sources, and can provide reference(s), please
email this information to me (rather than posting them to the net). My email
address is gordons@cs.colostate.edu.

Thank you very much!

Scott Gordon

p.s. Please excuse my use of the term "real-world".... it's shorthand
and certainly not intended to imply that theoretical research is not
"real"! The topic seems useful, for example, to companies considering
trying RP, and wanting to know what experiences other companies have
had so that they can increase the likelihood of success.
