I have several questions. If you have answers, please send them to me at alesha@auto-trol.com, or post them if you feel they are of general interest. We are trying to set up some more formal procedures for requirements and designs, but are unsure about the best methodologies. We write CAD/CAM software, with a great deal of user interface interaction. Neither Data Flow Diagrams or State Transition diagrams seem to meet our needs. We are not particularly object oriented either. So,.. 1. What are the best analysis and design methodologies for our type of application? 2. Are there any books available that describe the different methodologies, describe the problems they are best at solving, and give useful examples of solving problems with each methodology? 3. On another subject, I read articles here and there which mention Harlan Mills' Cleanroom software engineering, but I've never seen anything that gives details of what it's all about. Are there any books about Cleanroom engineering, or any articles that I could get hold of? Thanks, Alec Sharp...
