Thanks to all those people who have and are still responding to my original message on Software Engineering Environment (SEE) papers. I am currently compiling a reference list from the replies and some recent "journal hunts" and will distribute it back to the net in a couple of days time. However, I now have another request: Area: Adaptable Methods in Software Engineering Environments Has anyone come across work on abstract representations of analysis and design modelling constructs; for example - decomposing say the JSD method down into a group of implementable primitives which describe the "fundamentals" of the method. The primitives capture the abstract representation of the method but these can be manipulated to produce domain-oriented methods to match a specific user's taste in icons, etc. Furthermore, the primitives would describe the method, not how to apply it to build an application. Any pointers greatly appreciated, summary will be posted to the net if sufficient response.
