Everybody else has. This is one of the most overloaded words in computer science. Some use it to refer to programs such as editors, parsers, etc. Some use it to refer to libraries. Some use it to refer to classes in an object-oriented programming hierarchy. A definition for this word is meaningless without some context and that is the main reason I don't ever like to see this word used.
