We at SCTC are looking for a problem reporting and tracking system
that:
runs on a unix-system, sun-3's or portable to sun-3s.
Has underlying Database with query capability, such as SQL
Allows one to enter "bugs" "suggestions" "enhancement reqests" ,etc.
Provides notifications to programmers, managers, etc.
Catagorizes its users so that we can allow customers to use
it to submitt and check their requests, but not change
internally submitted ones.
Has a remote interface (preferably X-windows) for our users who
do not have sun 3's.
Can be used in a fill-in-the-blanks mode for occasional users
or in an "I know what to do" mode (like command-line) for
frequent users.
Has some set of built-in tracking reports for management and for
individual maintainers.

Recommendations from users requested; material from marketing
representatives welcome. The most cost-effective solution will
be our choice.
