[net.micro] 24 pin printers?

The Toshibas are especially nice. If you want wide-body, try the
P351. Narrow body, try the P321. The P341, according to Toshiba, was
being discontinued some time ago. Only mail-order places carry it. I
wouldn't bother with it. Both the 351 and 321 offer cartridge-based
fonts, usually 2 or more fonts per cartridge, plus enough RAM in the
printer for downloading an additional two fonts. I prefer the download
capability, which the 341 supposedly didn't have. Prices are around
$1200 for the 351, $700 for the $321, perhaps better through discount
houses. I have been using a P351 off and on for the last year, and I
like it a lot. Have never had any problems with it. Most software will
have drivers for it, if you need graphics, etc. Also, the 321 is function-
ally the same, takes all the same codes, etc.
For more information, you might want to look at the latest
PC magazine, which has an article on 24-pin printers.
