I have an OLD issue of Collophon, the Adobe magazine - Colophon 3, I believe. In it are 26 pictures, of each letter of the alphabet, in 26 different fonts, with 26 VERY INTERESTING effects applied (one one each letter). A small paragraph says that you can send away for the code that produces these effects for $12 each disk, presumably to cover P&H. They publish the code for one of letters in the magazine, and it's quite short (maybe 10-20 lines). Unfortunately, when I called Adobe (to see if they had any more recent disks as well) they told me that the two disks were NO LONGER AVAILABLE! ARGH, I gnash my teeth. The code looked like Adobe meant it for the Public Domain, as it was little things that made THEIR postscript look really good. Adobe, are you there? ARE these things P.D.? If so could somebody send them to me? Honestly, they were so good, and so short, you probably should post them here (or did that already happen before I started reading this newsgroup? Ok, while I'm here, three things I'd like to know how to do in PS: 1. What's the easiest way to do a Cricket-Draw style fountain? I'd like to be able to fill lettering with a fountain, and CD doesn't let you do that. 2. How can I get half-tones to print with a thick horizonatal line-screen? 3. How can I take use lettering and graphics to "clip" a background? IE, I'd like to have a scanned photo that would only be visible inside the outline of some huge letters showpage, luke --- luke@aspen.columbia.edu "Somehow your hand (212)666-SPIT "Hell-spit" fell on mine 550 w 113 NYC 10025 We crossed the line..." tHeHoUseRuLeS! -DREAMSPEAK
