Nice to see that info-postscript has started up again... (well, it will be nice if I see this message come back) Here is a question that cropped up during the hiatus. In the local LW+'s there is a peculiarity in the font NewCenturySchlbk-Bold. The width of each of the digits is 0.574, except that "1" is only 0.463. (This was confirmed by using stringwidth.) However, an AFM file we obtained for this font has all the digits 0.574 wide. This may be related to the fact that the FontInfo "version" in the LW+ is 001.000 and the Version in the AFM is 001.003 (presumably these refer to the same sort of version number). Can anyone say anything more about the history here? If our LW+ ROMs are out of date, what should we do about it? I am also told that the "1" in NewCenturySchlbk-Roman, although it has the normal width, appears to sit unevenly in its box.
