Does anyone have any comments, good or bad, on using the software product PostHaste on Macintosh machines to develop PostScript applications? Len Schwer Schwer@KL.SRI.COM

I bought it on June 10, 1987. It translated newlines into spaces when sending the program to the printer, which screwed up "currentfile int str readline". I complained about this, and the "architect" of the program didn't know what I was talking about. Said he'd have to talk with the programmer. I'm still waiting for a fixed copy. I like it when companies treat their bleeding edge bug-finding customers better than that. There were also problems with it crashing. There were also some nice things about it. --dave yost

Anybody have any idea how Lasertalk manages to get at the printer's bitmap. There "ain't no way" within standard PostScript that I am aware of. Mark Rowe mark@hp-pcd
