Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse, but we have a need to translate a TIFF file (or a portion thereof) to PostScript. We are digitizing handwriting and plan to store the signature in a format compatible with IMAGE. We have an HP Scanjet with the necessary software. BTW: The software can also produce PC Paint format files. Converters or pointers to file formats for these things would be very helpful. Thanks Kelly -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Kelly Grant grantk@nosc.mil 4045 Hancock Street {ihnp4,uunet,dcdwest,ucbvax}!sdcsvax!nosc!grantk San Diego, CA, 92110 (619) 225-8401

To convert TIFF to postscript, simply read the TIFF file into memory using any program for the macintosh that supports TIFF, then print with LaserWriter selected (using the Chooser desk accessory) as the current printer. Hold down the 'f' key as you mouse on the OK button in the print dialog, and your macintosh will produce a file of the postscript that it would have sent to the printer.
