[net.micro] ASMGEN and .SEQ files posted to net.sources

farren@well.UUCP (Mike Farren) (05/16/86)

I have posted uuencoded versions of ASMGEN.ARC and DOS3SRC.ARC
to net.sources. These two files give you the ability to produce a
disassembly listing of the three PC-DOS 3.0 system files COMMAND.COM,
IBMBIO.COM, and IBMDOS.COM.

A couple of notes are in order. ASMGEN is not the world's greatest
disassembler. Make sure you read the file ASMGEN.DOC (in the archive)
for instructions on dealing with its foibles. The version of ASMGEN
found in ASMGEN.ARC is 2.01.

The three .SEQ files found in DOS3SRC will produce a somewhat sparse
disassembly listing. Much interpolation and interpretation will still have
to be done before you will have a true source listing for DOS.

Finally, both of these are .ARC files. This means they have been
archived using the ARC utility, and must be de-archived before use. This,
in turn, implies that you have an MS-DOS system and already possess the
ARC utility (of course, we all have that, don't we? :-) ).

Good luck!

Has any kind (brave?) soul done .SEQ files for PC-DOS 3.1 yet?
