A friend of mine was planning to buy a LaserWriter IIsc when I pointed out to her that the IIsc is not the same as the older LaserWriters. Does anyone know if an application designed for the LaserWriter Plus will work properly with a IIsc? Specifically, will programs like PageMaker and Adobe Illustrator work with a non-postscript printer like the IIsc? When I checked the printer support for PageMaker 3.0 I saw all the LaserWriters listed except the IIsc. Will other programs like MacDraw, MacWrite, WordPerfect, CricketGraph, etc. that don't mention postscript output work with a IIsc? I realize there is an upgrade from the IIsc to the IInt but I think my friend would rather get the most compatible and hassle-free printer in the first place. Also if an SE with no hard disk is used, will all those fonts needed by the IIsc have to be loaded by floppy each time the computer/printer is powered up? I'd appreciate any feedback from those with either printer and if they felt their printer has lived up to its worth (cost).
