Does anyone out there know anything about the PC profilers I've been seeing ads for? Do they all divide memory up into paragraphs and then report utilization by combining data on when each of those paragraphs was executing with the names/addresses from the load map? Or do some give more info? Thanks for any details you give me. Roy -- Roy J. Mongiovi. Office of Computing Services. User Services. Georgia Institute of Technology. Atlanta GA 30332. Pfinish, from Phoenix Software Associates in Norwood, MA, can profile entry to and exit from a function by placing breakpoints like a debugger would (I.E. no special compilation required, as long as your object file has symbols). I can't comment on whether it works, since I have never used it, but it has been around for quite a while, and I have heard that it works. _MelloN_ -- Ted Lemon Project GNU of the Free Software Foundation UUCP: {}!mit-eddie!mit-prep!mellon INTERNET: mellon@prep.ai.mit.edu ORGANIZATION: Project GNU, Free Software Foundation, 1000 Mass.
