First of all, thank you Rich Rosen, Chuq Von Rospach, Avi Gross, and John Lind for your kind words both in correspondence and via the news. I would like to apologize for not responding sooner, but I have been hiding in my wombat-hole recuperating from an altogether unpleasant nasty little inconvenience known as "flu". On the positive side, I am now halfway through "The Lord of the Rings", for the Nth time. Ok, now for a few quick points: 1. Orlando Sotomayor-Diaz (houxa!9212osd) and homxa!osd7 both want to know who "Darth Wombat" is; ok, the name is "Rich Kulawiec". I don't know what good that does, save satisfying your curiousity, since I don't have the reputation of vortex!lauren or cbosgd!mark or research!dmr. I would *like* to think that whatever comments I make on news/newsgroups would stand by themselves, for good or bad, and that a reputation (or lack of it, in my case) would not influence others' thinking. 2. I did not reveal the names of the anonymous flamers since I received them in private correspondence, and don't feel it would be ethical to post that information without their permission. I have in fact asked both of them for permission to post their messages, and both refused. 3. I would like to inform the anonymous flamers, and any other interested parties, that although my branch of the family is 100% Roman Catholic, that the other side is 100% Jewish, and those of that line who survived the Nazi Bake-off are busy being repressed in places like Gdansk at the moment; for me to actually be anti-Semitic would be a monumental breakthrough in dualistic thinking, to say the least. 4. Random comments: Rich Rosen says he never saw my original article; your're right, Rich, news is sooooooo reliable. Chuq--I didn't intend for you to withdraw your support; I was just trying to duck further flames...but I suppose this is kind of moot now :-). Orlando Sotomayer-Diaz (sic) likes to correct my spelling so much that I thought I'd put something here for him too: nwsgroup. :-) 5.
