Has anyone out there installed the Rutherford-Appleton-Lab/Crispin-Goswell postscript interpreter on a sun 4? Has something gone wrong if it requires numerous source hacks in order to even compile? Can I assume it will take several days if not weeks to get it up on my sun 4? I ftp'ed my copy of this freeware from rice.edu. The instructions say to just type "make", yet it is evident from the makefile that this just won't do. In fact, it seems pretty obvious that installation instructions ought to be present in the distribution (dated 3 Nov 87, from rsalz@uunet). Perhaps my source is defective or obsolete? Forgive me if I have offended anyone involved in the creation and distribution of this free software. It just doesn't work here, and I'd like to confirm my suspicion that it may take some effort to get it going on a sun 4, running SunOS Sys4-3.2 (a late version of SunOs 3.5).
