Can anyone tell me how to get Sonata? Is it public domain? Can someone send it to me? I would appreciate any leads. No, it's a commercial package from Adobe, in fact, it's one of their top 10
sellers. You can get the screen fonts (no printer fonts of course) for many
Adobe packages via anonymous ftp from sumex.stanford.edu -- I think they have
Sonata, but I don't remember either yes or no. MacConnection sells Adobe
fonts, and you should be able to get Sonata for well under $100 -- get a
friend to join you or persuade your department to get it for your printer.
I don't work for MacConnection (1-800-Mac-Lisa, BTW) or Adobe, I just think
Sonata is a gorgeous music font.

I called Adobe once and asked about the Sonata font. They said (at that time) that it was not available for UNIX systems. Can anybody confirm (or deny) that? Also, if it is available for UNIX systems, has anybody out there written any programs that use it? Thanks, Rich Johnson AT&T Bell Laboratories Whippany, NJ (201) 386-7345 att!video!raj
