[comp.lang.postscript] pscal.ps: a Postscript calendar page maker

jbh@bnrunix.UUCP (John B. Hampton) (05/11/89)

We currently have a copy of pscal.ps, original from Patrick Wood, "Shell
stuff added 3/9/87 by King Ables", and "Made pretty by tjt 1988."
Written in Postscript with a csh front end, it produces very nice
single-month calendar pages.

Are there any later versions of pscal.ps? We have heard rumors that
a version exists with new features, such as identification of holidays,
the ability to include one's own special days (birthdays, anniversaries,
etc.). Any info on this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John

I don't know if I have exactly what you are looking for, but I took the
combined work of Pat Wood, several people who upgraded the calendar
and Bill Vogel (of AT&T) who wrote a mechanism for inclusion of calendar
text from a file, and wrapped the whole thing with a couple of enhancements
in a "C" program.

The whole shar is a little under 17000 chars but I don't know if it would
be appropriate to post it here.

I will attempt to mail you a copy and if I get sufficient response (E-mail,
please) I will post it here for all.
