	Obviously, the implied political content of this drawing makes
the inclusion of comp.lang.postscript in the newsgroup line a little
problematic, but I have a few questions:  when this same character is
generated by Cricket Draw, the resulting PostScript comes to 18K, 43K
if the proper Macintosh header is prepended to it. In my hands, it came
out to about 2K, and a good percentage of that is the numerous inclusion
of the word inch. Is the QuickDraw to PostScript translation really that
inefficient, and if so why?
	As an example of Bezier curves, this is passable, but somewhere
between mediocre and pathetic for form. 

	As for content.
	Min (4) by itself means people. It is the same min as in
RenMIN, also translated people (as in Renmin Ribao, "The People's Daily").
Zhu (1) means to lead. One appearance of this word is as in: Mao ZHUxi,
Chairman Mao. Together, it forms the chinese word for Democracy. I have
specifically seen this character in the many banners displayed in
Tiananmen Square prior to two weeks ago.
	The text below it is of course, Thomas Jefferson.  Specifically, it
is the second and third sections of the Declaration of Independence. The
first of these: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are
created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable
Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness"
is well quoted to that point, but more importantly continues: "That to 
ensure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their
just powers from the consent of the governed." which is probably the key
phrase in the entire passage, "the consent of the governed." It further
continues into a passage which incidentally, when polled by the Gallup
organization several years ago, most people attributed to Marx rather
than Jefferson:  "That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive
of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and
to institute new Government..."  That "Right" of course, is revolutionary...

Note: uses ZapfChancery-MediumItalic as the closest approximation to
the hand script of the Declaration.  Change this to Times-Roman if
you lack this font.
