A friend of mine is looking for a Postscript interpreter, public domain or commercial, that is portable, written in C and able to run on an IBM mainframe. Specifically, he is interested in determining the number of pages in a given document for accounting purposes. (Just looking at the number of showpage commands is obviously not sufficient, since those can appear in either macros or subroutines). The interpreter may also be used to diagnose problems in a document before sending it to the printer (there are some awfully quiet printers, or printer drivers out there). Please respond via e-mail if you have any good pointers, to the address bellow: Dan Iuster {sun, amdahl, att}!laidbak!iuster Interactive Systems, Inc (previous Lachman Associates, Inc) -- Dan Iuster ...!{amdahl,att,masscomp,nucsrl,sco,sun}!laidbak!iuster (312) 505-9100 x322 Lachman Associates, Inc.
