We are having some puzzling problems with our LaserWriters. We have downloaded an error handler that displays the error name and the contents of the operand and execution stacks when a PostScript error occurs, and we have been getting frequent IOERRORs after (or sometimes in the middle of) print jobs. It happens on jobs printed through both the async and AppleTalk ports. The command being executed at the time of the error is often not a file-system command (e.g., ashow.) Does someone out there have more info about how PostScript handles errors or what circumstances could cause ioerrors? Has anybody seen this behavior before? Brian Goetz Pacer Software, Inc.
