[net.micro] Plug for a good vendor

clements@ccq.bbn.COM (Bob Clements) (06/19/86)

This message is to unabashedly praise a great parts vendor.
I don't have any financial interest in them, but I am sure interested
in having them prosper and continue to provide this kind of service.

The place is Microprocessors Unlimited, of Beggs, Oklahoma.
(918)267-4961. (No 800 number.)

They sell EPROMS, dynamic RAMs, static RAMs 8087, 80287, V20 and V30
parts, and that's about all. Their prices are pretty good. They only
sell new prime parts. They take charge card orders over the phone.

But it's the service that makes them stand out.

I called them Tuesday, after 7 Eastern time (I'm near Boston),
which is after 5 their time. I ordered some 27C256 EPROMs and
some 6264-15 static RAMs.

The shipment arrived at my door 23 HOURS later by Federal Express!

What did they do? Get a Federal Express pickup at midnight Tuesday
in Oklahoma? I don't know. But it's pretty amazing.

Anyhow, I recommend them and encourage you to use them for your
memory component needs. I've used them a few times now and
they've never done me any wrong.

Nope, this is not a message from my employer; just from me.
