Is anyone using the Postscript interpreter that runs in CMS on IBM 370s? It is part of the educational consortium, so is free to higher-education institutions. The interpreter is a real Adobe one, marketed by IBM. It seems to have its own oddities. I haven't gotten some exotic stuff to run in it, but simple things seem to work OK. There are some additional operators, such as the ability to issue CMS commands from within the interpreter. There should be a nifty use for this, but I can't think of one. The interpreter produces LIST3820 and/or PSEG3820 files, which can then be sent to the IBM 3812/3820/4250/etc. series of printers. Is anyone else out there turning their 370 into a printer driver? -- Neil Erdwien Kansas State University neil@ksuvm.ksu.edu or neil@calvin.ksu.ksu.edu
