[comp.lang.postscript] PostScript previewer for PS version of TeX output

des@yatton.inmos.co.uk (David Shepherd) (10/18/89)

Does anyone know of a PostScript previewer that will display the
results of a TeX DVI file converted into PS. Either SunView or X
would do -- X perhaps preferable. DVI previewers are fine for text
which doesn't have PS inserts but sometimes we need to check on PS
as well.

I've tried ghostscript 1.2 but there are sufficient problems to cause me
to look for something more suitable first. In particular ghostscript doesn't
implement save/restore which gets used a lot in dvitops output.

Either post replies or mail me and I'll summarise

thanks

   I am interested, too.

   Thanks in advance,
