Here's another question about Adobe products and EPSF compatibility. I recently tried to print a WriteNow document from a NeXT, via the Adobe TranScript "psrev" utility running on a Sun (to which the printer is attached). WriteNow can produce documents containing embedded documents, thus containing multiple instances of "%%Trailer" (correctly bracketed by %%BeginDocument ... %%EndDocument pairs). It seems that psrev from TranScript 2.1 ignores the %%BeginDocument ... %%EndDocument nesting and takes the first instance of %%Trailer as the end of the document. The result is that psrev processes only those pages up to the first embedded document, and treats the following pages as part of the trailer. Is there a newer, smarter version of psrev available? If not, would anyone else be interested if I hack up a fix? (I'm lucky enough to have source for TranScript).
