Hi,
I need a LaserWriter driver for Unix (Ultrix) which can deal with
down-loadable fonts. So it needs to communicate with the printer when
a font is requested, and include it in the printstream only if needed.
Does there exists such a program?
Johan

The devps package from Pipeline Associates supports downloadable fonts for PostScript devices, including the LaserWriter. devps includes the font program for requested non-resident PostScript fonts as part of the print stream that is sent to the printer. The font downloading mechanism works with Adobe Type 1 and Type 3 fonts. devps is a commercial product that is available for UNIX and MS-DOS systems. Please send e-mail to me if you want more information. -- Jim Ingram uunet!h-three!jimi | jimi%h-three@uunet.uu.net h-three Systems Corporation P.O. Box 12557 RTP NC 27709 919 549 8334
